EVERWARE-CBDI
PRESIDENT DAVE MAYO RECEIVES 2009 FEDERAL 100 AWARD
FAIRFAX, Va,
February 13, 2009. Dave Mayo, co-founder and President of
Everware-CBDI, the international leader in enterprise service
solutions, has received a Federal 100 Award from Federal Computer
Week for his efforts to improve the management of government IT
and for shepherding the development of the Federal CIO Council’s
Practical Guide to Federal Service Oriented Architecture in 2008.
The Practical Guide represented a collaboration between the CIO
Council’s Architecture and Infrastructure Committee and the
American Council for Technology / Industry Advisory Council’s
Enterprise Architecture Shared Interest Group (ACT/IAC EA-SIG) for
which Mr. Mayo is Vice Chair. OMB and the Federal CIO Council are
promoting the adoption of SOA as a way to improve organizational
agility, information sharing and interoperability – enabling more
effective utilization of government resources.
The Federal 100
Awards recognize individuals from government, industry and academia
who significantly influence how the federal government buys, uses or
manages information technology. Federal 100 winners are recognized
for their risk-taking, vision and pioneering spirit in the federal IT
community. Winners are nominated by Federal Computer Week readers and
selected by an independent panel of judges for their contributions to
the development, acquisition or management of federal IT.
The annual Federal
100 Awards Gala — the 20th anniversary of that event
— will take place March 25, 2009 at the Ritz-Carlton at Tyson’s
Corner, Virginia. Award winning comedian, Kathleen Madigan, will be
the featured speaker for the Federal 100 Awards Banquet.
